The exhibition of twenty images of Vladimír Koštial from the 60s and 70s from yesterday at Cafe Amadeus thematically accompanies the exhibition To Catch up and Ahead. The link between the Brussels style.
“Vladimír Koštial photographing interiors of dwellings or camping gear, all imbued with a time of sixties culture that brought the exhibition in Brussels in 1958. The group was allowed to scan and print, to introduce visitors to how people ate, tent and spent their free time,” explained exhibition curator Landscape – Documentation – Promotion Štěpánka Bieleszová.
Slovak photographers work from Tatranska Lomnica maps within the thesis at the University of Ostrava author of the exhibition Lucia Perůjová. “Its more contemporary backdrop that the in-depth perspective begins to manifest a certain absurdity. Everything is arranged to face real socialism seemed as more affable. Koštial himself with it had seemed to fight, he had to think about how to grab the shot, scan and photograph manufacture. Their gradual discovery is a challenge for researchers,” said Bieleszová.
At yesterdays opening day was also present at the late authors son, also Vladimir Koštial. Often went shooting with his father. “He made me walk in the mountains, and while I would prefer friends to run for the ball, do not wait for the cloud or sunshine. At that time I could not appreciate it. Today I am pleased that the negatives that were lying fallow years, anyone interested. Too bad that the father did not live,” he said.
