Agreements on cooperation Palacky University in Olomouc, Olomouc Museum of Art on Monday signed rector Jaroslav Miller and museum director Michal Soukup. Framework agreement applies particularly professional and research activities, but also opens up more possibilities for both parties in the preparation of exhibition projects in the educational activity or in volunteering. Representatives of the two institutions also agreed on the uniqueness of the Central European Forum Olomouc and the need for its completion.
Conclusion of the contract initiated by Department of Art History Palacky University, whose staff prepared together with the Faculty of UP, Regional Centre of Advanced Technologies and Materials and the Centre region Hana interdisciplinary platform for exploration works of art. “We would like to Olomouc Museum of Art with its prestigious collections played in this project of great importance,” said Jana Zapletalová from the Department of Art History. However, the contract by the bonuses will also allow the students. “They will have the opportunity to complete an internship in the museum together create instructional programs and acquire the necessary experience during their studies from practice,” she added.
“The university and the museum is an institution with a strong cultural message that should not coexist, but should closely cooperate. And this agreement is the basis for our synergy,” said rector Jaroslav Miller. Art Museum, according to him, has great potential for the university. “I believe that these options have not yet been adequately exploited. And I will do everything to ensure that the spirit of this agreement was filled with concrete content, “he added.
“Palacky University is our strategic partner. With some professional institutions, such as the Department of Art History and Art Education Department, moreover, have been cooperating now. However, this agreement gives our contacts and new long-term dimension and wider options,” said museum director Michal Soukup.
Representatives of institutions also spoke about the Central European Forum Olomouc. The aim of the project, whose construction has often failed in 2011 with a request for European aid is podchycovat art culture of Central Europe after World War 2 and its components to be the new central depository of artworks, international research and training center including a large library. According to the rector of Palacky University should be completed and Central European Forum project is ready to help personally. “Grants will really appreciate. And I believe that also the Rectors voice in the future will also help us to complete the project,” added Soukup.
