Two dozen drawings Jana Peterková adorn the walls of the Theatre of Music since yesterday. Cycle Movements of the Soul opened curator of drawing collections Olomouc Museum of Art Ivo Binder.
“Peterková interested in the work of the subconscious of the human mind and on the way to reflect the relationship of man to man and landscape in the micromoment. One result of this thinking we can also say groping gesture of drawing is subjected to a set of drawings,” said Binder.
Jana Peterková drawings are based on observations of the movements of bodies at a meeting of people who have built themselves a constellation of their families.
Jana Peterková (* 1966) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague with Miloš Šejn with annual transfers into the studio Vladimír Kokolia and Milan Knížák. Her work describes the gradual path of self-transformation. Insights and experience that there can be obtained, are also within the psychological process. Its main theme is to explore the physical, energetic body in relation to space landscape and space infinity. Peterková also contributed to the costumes for foreign film productions including the American film Marie Antoinette, winning an Oscar for the costumes.
